Nathan L Wykoff was born 8 May 1907 at home (2808 South 7th, St Louis, St Louis, Missouri) to Harry and Zadie [Talbert] Wykoff. Both his parents were born in Indiana. Mrs M Milier was the reporter of his birth and probably the midwife.

In the 1910 US Federal Census for 9th Ward, St Louis, St Louis, Missouri, 74-year-old Charles and his 73-year-old wife Nancy [McCaslin] Wykoff have been married 56 years and have had eleven children, 5 of whom are living [I have been able to identify only nine children]. In their household are their Indiana-born children, 39-year-old Mary, 29-year-old Harry, Harry's 24-year-old Indiana-born wife Zada [Talbert], and Harry and Zada's Missouri-born children, 6-year-old Ray, 2-year-old Nathan L and newborn James. Harry and Zada have been married 6 years and have had three children. Charles is a ship carpenter and Harry is a laborer in the government yards. Charles' father is now recorded as being born in Virginia and his mother in Indiana. Nancy's parents are now recorded as being born in Indiana. Zada's parents were born in Indiana.The family is living at 2511 South Third Street in a multi-family residence. They rent their flat.

The 1928 East St Louis City Directory records Harry Wykoff, his wife Zada [Talbert] Wykoff, and their sons James, N Louis and Ray Wykoff as living at 2129 St Louis Avenue, East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois. Harry is a "3B 1G" city employee. James is employed by Weissman Co. N Louis is employed by Rhodes Burford. Ray has no employment listed.

In the 1940 US Federal Census for Caseyville, St Clair, Illinois, 32-year-old Missouri-born Nathan L Wyckoff [sic] and his 36-year-old Illinois-born wife Aurelia [maiden name unknown] Wickoff have in their household a lodger, a 42-year-old Illinois-born single man, William Marshall.This household is living in a rented house, for which Nathan pays $25 per month. The house is not on a farm. Nathan and Aurelia have completed eighth grade, William has completed high school. They all were living in East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois in 1935. Nathan and William are employed for pay and have worked 52 weeks of the past year. Nathan worked 26 hours in the week of 24-30 March as a "tracer" for an attorney's office and earned $1,040 in the past year. William worked 40 hours in that same week as a collector for a collection office and earned $520 in the past year. Neither have a source of income other than wages or salary. Aurelia is a housewife, is not looking for work and has a source of income other than wages or salary.

The 1948 Polk's City Directory records Nathan L Wyckoff [sic] and his wife Aurelia living at 548 N 18th in East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois. Nathan is a messenger for Ultra-Life.

The 1955 Polk's City Directory records Nathan L Wyckoff [sic] and his wife Aurelia living at 1500 N 44th in East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois. Also living with them is Nathan's sister, Mary E Wyckoff. Nathan is assistant manager for Home Credit Clothing and Aurelia ia assistant credit manager for the same company. Mary has no employment listed.

The 1957 and 1959 Polk's City Directories record Nathan L Wyckoff [sic] and his wife Aurelia living at 1500 N 44th in East St Louis, St Clair, Illinois. Nathan is assistant manager for Home Credit Clothing.

Nathan Wyckoff [sic]. born 8 May 1907, died Aug 1977. His last residence of record was East Saint Louis, St Clair, Illinois 62204. He had applied for his Social Security number in Illinois before 1951.
