Twenty-eight-year-old, Ohio-born Alva D Donohoo and Mary E Van Cleve [sic] marry on 7 May 1913 in Galesburg, Knox, Illinois. Alva's parents were John L Donogoo and Lika Fenner. Mary's parents were Joseph N Van Cleve [sic] and Margaret Carr. In the 1930 US Federal Census for Stanchfield, Isanti, Minnesota, 60-year-old Sweden-born Nels Englund and his 39-year-old Illinois-born wife, Mary [VanCleave] Englund were married when he was 48- and she was 28-years old. They have in their household Mary's parents, 66-year-old Illinois-born Joseph and 68-year-old Indiana-born Margaret [Carr] Von Cleve[sic], Joseph and Margaret were married when he was 21- and she was 23-years old. Also in this household is Mary's 14-year-old Minnesota-born nephew, James Von Cleve [sic]. The family is living on a farm owned by Nels. Nels is a farmer, doing general farming, and Joseph is a farm laborer. Both have worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. Neither has served in the military. Nels' date of immigration is unknown but he is a naturalized citizen. Nels' parents were born in Sweden; Mary's father was born in Illinois and her mother in Indiana; Joseph's parents were born in Illinois; Margaret's parents were born in Indiana; James' father was born in Illinois [? best guess] and his mother in Minnesota. Sixty-three-year-old Mary Elizabeth Pries died at 12:30 am on 20 May 1955 at St Lukes Hospital, St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota of hyper nephroma left kidney with metastasis to liver, lung and brain. The time of onset was unknown, she was ill for three months. An autopsy was performed. Her physician was Robert Lindell. Mary was white, female, a housewife, and married to Herman Pries. She was born 11 Mar 1892 in Knosville, Illinois to Joseph VanCleave and Margaret Carr. Her usual address was 256 Marshall, St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota. The informant was her husband, Herman Pries.
