In the 1900 US Federal Census for Lovett, Jennings, Indiana, 35-year-old [45-year-old] Wm B [William Baxter] and his 39-year-old wife Anna B [Mountz] McClellan [McClelland] have been married 20 years and have had four children. All four are living with them, 18-year-old Porter W [William Porter], 17-year-old George T, 12-year-old Nellie L, and 9-year-old Frank. William is a farmer who owns his farm, Porter and George are farm laborers. Nellie L and Frank have attended school in the past year.

In the 1910 US Federal Census for Lovett, Jennings, Indiana, 55-year-old Indiana-born farmer William B [William Baxter] and his 49-year-old Indiana-born wife Anna B [Mountz] McClellan [McClelland, but he and his children consistantly use McClellan] have been married 31 years and have had four Indiana-born children, all of whom are living with them.
