In the 1860 US Federal Census for Owen, Jackson, Indiana, 39-year-old Christian Branaman has changed professions as he is now a prosperous farmer with $6,000 worth of real estate and $1,300 worth of personal property. He and his 40-year-old wife Mary [Smith Wells] have in their household their children, 16-year-old Emeline, 15-year-old Martha, 13-year-old William, 11-year-old Lawson, 9-year-old Jacob W, 7-year-old Henrietta, 5-year-old Christian, 4-year-old Alice, 2-year-old Abraham, and the 9-month old twins Daniel H and Frances, and Marys 65-year-old widowed mother Sally Wells.

In the 1870 US Federal Census for Owen, Jackson, Indiana, 49-year-old Chris [Christian] Branaman is still a prosperous farmer with $6,385 worth of real estate and $2,385 worth of personal property. He and his 50-year-old wife M. S. [Mary Smith Wells] have in their household their children, 25-year-old Martha, 23-year-old W.T [William T], 21-year-old Lawson, 19-year-old J.W. [Jacob W}, 17-year-old Henrietta, 15-year-old C.J. [Christian], 12-year-old Abraham, the 9-year-old twins D.H. [Daniel H] and Frances, and 8-year-old G Mc [McClelland], and Christians 65-year-old farmer father James Branaman who is illiterate. Emaline and Alice are missing from the household. Emaline is old enough to have married, and Alice reappears in the 1880 Census.

On 13 Feb 1877, John Scott, Clerk of Jackson Circuit Court at Brownstown, Jackson, Indiana, issued a marriage licence to Collin H McCaslin and Rettie Branamin [sic]. They were married the next day by Albert Ogle, Minister of the Gospel.

In the 1880 US Federal Census for Graham, Jefferson, Indiana, 63-year-old widow Sophia [Shrewsbury] McCaslin is recorded as Head of Household. Living with her, are Sophias two youngest children , 25-year-old farmer Ervin [Irvin] and 21-year-old Emma. Sophias 27-year-old farmer son Collin and his 26-year-old wife, Rettie [Henrietta Branaman] McCaslin are living next door.

In the 1900 US Federal Census for Jackson, Gentry, Missouri, 47-year-old physician Collin H McCaslin and his 47-year-old wife Retta B [Henrietta Branaman] have been married 23 years and have two children, 20-year-old Frank J and 18-year-old Strausie, both of whom are living with their parents in a house they own mortgage-free on Hampshire Street. Both Frank and Strausie have attended school for 9 months of the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana.

In the 1900 US Federal Census for Columbia, Boone, Missouri, 48-year-old Mrs CH McCaslin and her children 20-year-old Frank and 18-year-old Strausie are recorded for a second time. Mrs McCaslin [Henrietta Branaman McCaslin] has been married for 23-years and has borne one child who is living [sic-she has borne two and they both are living with her]. They are all living in a rented house at 213 Hitt Street. Both Frank and Strausie have attended school for 9 months of the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana.

In the 1910 US Federal Census for Cooper, Gentry, Missouri, 57-year-old physician Collin H McCaslin and his 57-year-old wife Henrietta [Branaman] have been married 33 years and have had two children, both of whom are living but not with their parents. Collin and Henrietta are living in a house they own free of mortgage on Williams Street.

Fifty-nine-year-old Mrs Henrietta B McCaslin sailed from Shanghai, on the SS Mongolia, which had started its voyage from Hong Kong, arriving in San Francisco, San Francisco, California on 28 Oct 1911.

On 22 Mar 1918 in Albany, Missouri, Mrs Henrietta B McCaslin applies for a passport to visit Nanking, China (to see her daughter, Mrs AC Hutcheson, wife of Dr AC Hutcheson, who is in very poor health) and Japan (to visit a friend is crossed out). She intends to leave the United States on 9 May 1918 from the port of Vancouver on board the Empress of Asia. She solemnly swears that she was born at Clear Spring, Indiana on 29 Sep 1852, that her husband was born on 24 Aug 1852 in DuPont, Indiana, and that she is now residing at Stanberry, Gentry, Missouri. Her description is 65-years-old, 5 ft 7 in, with a prominent forehead and nose, black eyes, small mouth, medium chin, white hair, fair complexion and a round face. She has no distinguishing marks.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Sand Lake, Sawyer, Wisconsin, 67-year-old physician and surgeon (general practice) Collin H McCaslin and his 67-year-old wife Henrietta [Branaman] are living on County Line Road in a house they own free of mortgage.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri 77-year-old Collin H McCaslin and his 77-year-old wife Henrietta [Branaman] have retired to Missouri. Both Collin and Henrietta were 24-years old when they married. They are living in a house they rent for $42.50 a month at 112 East 43rd. They do not own a radio and neither has attended school or college in the past year.

Henrietta died at 7:45 p.m. on 29 December 1933 at her residence at 112 East 43rd Street, Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri where she had lived for five years. She was 81 years and 3 months old, having been born on 29 Sep 1852 in Clear Spring, Indiana. Her father was Christian Branama [Branaman] and her mother Mary Wells, both born in Indiana. The informant was her husband Dr. C.H. McCaslin of Kansas City, Missouri. Cause of death was chronic myocarditis and mitral regurgitation with a contributory cause listed as bronchial pneumonia. The Freman Mortuary of Kansas City Missouri handled her burial in Mt Moriah Cemetery on 2 Jan 1934.
