In the 1910 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson, Indiana, 46-year-old [should be 52] farmer George McCaslin has married 33-year-old Minnie Sherman McQuinn after the death of his first wife, Annie Fishback McCaslin. George and Minnie have in their household his 19-year-old farmer son Paul McCaslin, her 13-year-old son Donald McQuinn, and their less than a month old son Thomas L McCaslin. George and Minnie have been married one year. It is her second marriage and his third, although that is not confirmed by the Johnson Family Bible records. Minnie has born three children and two are living.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson, Indiana, 56-year-old [should be 62] farmer George and his 43-year-old wife Minnie [Sherman McQuinn] McCaslin have in their household his 29-year-old farmer son Paul (by his first wife) and their son 9-year-old Thomas. Their farm is on Jackson Highway and is owned free and clear of mortgage.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson, Indiana, 66-year-old [should be 72 according to the 1900 census] farmer George and his 53-year-old wife Minnie [Sherman McQuinn] McCaslin have in their household his 40-year-old farmer son Paul (by his first wife) and their son 19-year-old Thomas.

Thomas Alexander rites Wednesday

Thomas L. Alexander, 68, Franklin route 5, died Sunday morning at his residence. He had been a lifelong resident of Franklin.

Born April 11, 1910, in Johnson County, he was the son of George and Minnie (Sherman) Alexander.

He was married to Hazel Wyrick [Wirey] on May 11, 1946 in Franklin. Mrs. Alexander survives.

Mr. Alexander was employed with Indiana Gas and Water Company and had been retired from that company for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Shiloh Church, Edinburgh American Legion, Franklin Odd Fellows Lodge and had served as a member of the Army Medical Corps in World War II.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Rev. Charles Paxton will officiate.

Calling hours will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Alexander was born April 11, 1910, in Johnson County, son of George and Minnie Sherman Alexander. He was a lifelong resident of the Franklin area; was a member of the Shiloh Church, the Edinburgh American Legion, the Franklin Odd Fellows Lodge and had served in the Army Medical Corps during the second world war.

He married Hazel Wirey, formerly of Edinburgh, May 11, 1946, in Franklin, and she survives.
