AMITY Willie Brown, 83, of Amity, died Thursday, April 21, 2005.

Born Sept. 23, 1921, at Elk City, Okla. to Roy and Della Mabra Brown, he was a member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, retired from Independence Oregon School District and World War II Army veteran. He was predeceased by his first wife, Tharon Muncrief Brown; his second wife, Dorothy Hill Brown; one daughter, Karen Brown; and one brother, Mearl Brown.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Brown of Amity and Mickey Glenn Brown of Little Rock; one brother, J.R. Brown of Monroe, La.; four sisters, Doris Tubberville of Royal, Rosa Brown of Hot Springs, Mary Johnson of Dallas, Ore., and Marie O'Neal of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. The service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lowe Cemetery, with Brothers Arlie Francis and Shawn Luekenga officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Brown, Charles Brown, Gary Dodd, Miles Wallace, Jessie Wallace, and Josh Dodd.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today.
