William Bill McClelland, 77, of Van Buren died Sunday, June 4, 2006, in a local hospital. He was a retired Army master sergeant of the Korean and Vietnam wars, received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star, a member of the Veterans of American and worked for Auto Parts Sales in Barling.
Funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; four daughters, Joyce Watson and Jean Snow, both of Van Buren, Leigh Newman of Fort Smith and Terri Foley of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two sons, Joe and Bryan McClelland, both of Van Buren; a sister, Patricia Zamjahan of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, W.D. McClelland of Tampa, Fla., five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kim and Brandon Newman, Bobby and Jimmy Tedford, James Crowley and Mike Snow.
The family will visit with friends 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
