Obituary - Madison Courier, Monday, September 19, 2005 Marie Stutsman Marie Stutsman, 89, of Deputy died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born April 6, 1916, in Deputy, the daughter of Clarence and Hildred McKeand Howell. She was a homemaker and retired farmer. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church near Deputy, where she served for more than 50 years as the pianist, organist and Sunday school teacher. Surviving are one son, Earl Stutsman of Southport; one daughter, Shirley Eversole of Columbus; one sister, Margaret Everhart of Scottsburg; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Warren Stutsman, Oct. 5, 2002; her parents; one sister, Helen MacKenzie; and three brothers, Maurice, Robert and Howard Howell. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg and after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church.
