In their household are their Minnesota-born children, 16-year-old Lillie, 13-year-old N. George, 12-year-old E Harry [transcribed as E Henry], 9-year-old Hattie, 7-year-old A Jesse, and 5-year-old A Eva. Lillie has attended school 9 months of the past year, N. George, 7 months, and E Harvey, Hattie and A Jesse attended school 8 months of the past year.

Everyone was born in Minnesota. George has completed two years of college, Bessie and Georgia have completed three years of high school and Kathleen has completed 5th grade. The family is living in a rented house on a farm, for which George pays $15 a month. They were living in the same house in 1935. George has a job as foreman at a "canning farm" where he has worked 42 hours in the past week and 52 weeks in the past year, earnig $710. He has a source of income in addition to his salary. Bessie is a housewife who has no outside income. Georgia and Kathleen are attending school.

Eighty-year-old George Newton McCasland died 4:30 am on 26 May 1967 in the St Peter Community Hospital, St Peter, Nicollet, Minnesota. Dr A. Henry Thompson stated that death was caused by acute coronary disease as a consequence of generalized arterialsclerose. Another significant condition was cancer of prostrate. Dr Thompson had attended the deceased on 26 May 1967 and last saw him alive that day. George was male, caucasian and a agricultural laborer. He was widowed and his wife was Bessie Collison McCasland. He was born 13 Jun 1886 to Thaddeus McCasland and Pernlia ? [sic] (birthplace of both is unknown). His address was RFD 1, Montgomery, Minnesota. The informant was Mrs. Earl Kennik (his daughter) of RFD 1, Montgomery, Minnesota. Burial was handled by the Prososki Funeral Home, LeCenter, Minnesota, funeral director Ray Prososki. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Elmore, Minnesota on 28 May 1967.

Faribault Daily News, 30 May 1967 Obituary George N McCasland Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28 for George N. McCasland, 81, at the Methodist Church, Le Center. He passed away on Friday, May 26 at the Community [Hospital] St. Peter. Burial was at Elmore, Minn. He was born on June 13, 1886 to Mr. and Mrs. Mathradius [sic Thaddeus] McCasland in Derrynane Township. Since 1929 until he recently retired, he was the field manager for the Green Giant Canning Co. He was married to Bessie Collison at Elmore, Minn., on June 16, 1913. She passed away on Jan. 1, 1964. He is survived by two daughters, Katherine (Mrs. Earl Krenik) of Montgomery, Phyllis (Mrs. Gilbert Johnson) of Mountain Iron, MInn.; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Lilly and Hattie McCasland of Detroit Lakes and Mrs. Eva Jenkinson of Minneapolis and one brother, Jess McCasland of Pomeroi, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two daughters.
