Eighty-nine-year-old widow Nola Miller McCasland died on 6 July 1974 of acute uremia with kidney failure of nine days duration, as a consequence of a rencent fracture of the right hip complicated by a leaking abdominal aortic aneurysm. The place of her death was the Pelican Valley Health Center. She was attended by Dr. Homer J Carlson of the Korda Clinic, 21 North Broadway, Pelican Rapids, Ottertail, Minnesota 56572. She had been living at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home. Her father's name was William Isaac Miller and her mother's name Louisa Little, who were both born in Missouri. Nola was born on 17 Apr 1885 in Missouri. She was buried at Lake View Cemetery in Pelican Rapids, Ottertail, Minnesota on 9 July 1974. The funeral home in charge of her burial was the Johnson-Larson Funeral Home of Pelican Rapids, Chester O Anderson, funeral director.
