"ARTHUR BLAINE MATTLEY -- NEHALEM, Sept. 30 (Special) Services for Arthur Blaine Mattley, Nehalem fisherman, who died unexpectedly Monday, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Nehalem Community church. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery, Portland. Mr. Mattley came to Oregon with his parents in 1895, living in Clackamas and Benton counties before moving to the coast nearly 40 years ago. He was graduated from Corvallis high school and attended Oregon State college. During World War I he was a radio technician on a submarine chaser and was stationed at Plymouth, England. Surviving are four sisters: Miss Maud Mattley and Mrs. Helen Palmer, Portland; Mrs. Bell Klein, Wheeler and Miss Mary Mattley, Eugene."
