In the 1920 US Federal Census for Dodge, Ford, Kansas, 24-year-old Missouri-born dry goods clerk Robert L and his 24-year-old Kansas-born wife Jenny Mae [maiden name unknown] Mattley have in their household their daughter, 4-year-old Kansas-born Joye Marie, and a lodger 24-year-old Kansas-born stenographer Lora Chistian. The household is living in a rented apartment over 213 West Chestnut. All the adults are literate. Roberts father is recorded as being born in Missouri and his mother in Illinois [his father was born in Indiana and his mother in Iowa]. Both of Jennie Maes parents are recorded as born in Kansas.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for Dodge, Ford, Kansas, 34-year-old Missouri-born shoe salesman Robert and his 34-year-old Kansas-born milinery saleslady wife Jennie M were married when they were both 18-years old. They were living in the same place in 1935. Charley has completed two years of highschool, Joye has completed four years of high school. Charley is empoyed as a grocery store manager, has worked 55 hours in the past week and 52 weeks in the past year, earning $1,685. Joye is a housewife not looking for work. Neither has an outside source of income.

Joye Marie Wilkerson, 56 died Wed.July 14,1971 at her home in Dodge City, KS. Born June 11, 1915 at Ford, KS she married Charles W. Wilkerson Sept.15, 1935 at Dodge City, KS.

She was a member of the FIrst United Methodist Church of Dodge City, KS; OES, Trinity Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include the widower, Charlie and mother, Jennie Mattley both of Dodge City, KS.

Services were held at Hulpieu-Swaim Chapel with Rev. Rudy Treder and Sheldon Thomas officiating.
