Mrs. Mary Olivia Giddings, 51, died at her home in Crothersville at 3:22 o'clock Sunday morning. Funeral Services were conduct- ed from the Crothersville Meth- odist church Tuesday at 2 p. m. in charge of the Rev. David. M. Shepherd assisted by Rev. C. H. Allison. Burial was in the Croth- ersville cemetery. Koveners had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Giddings was born Feb. 2, 1892, in Jennings county, the daughter of Zachariah McGannon and Hattie Emily Shepherd. Both parents survive. She was married Oct. 10, 1908, in Jennings county to Evert H. Giddings, who died Dec. 22 1939. Three children also survive. They are Mrs. Frances Rider, Crothersville; Sgt Jonathan Gid- dings, Camp Livingston, La.; and Mrs. Dorothy Page, Anderson. There is also a sister, Mrs. Lu- cille [sic] Morris, Greenfield. A member of the crothersville Methodist church, Mrs. Giddings was well known and highly re- spected in the community. She was a church worker and Sun- day School teacher for years.
