He and his Indiana-born 30-year-old wife Elizabeth [Kinnear] McCaslin have in their household their Indiana-born children, 10-year-old Amanda J, 8-year-old Levi B, 6-year-old Thadeus, and 2-year-old George W. Amanda, Levi and Thadeus have attended school in the past year. This census record was hard to find as the transcriber had entered McCasland as Carland.s2213

He, Maude and Russell can read and write. Russell, Real and Lorraine have attended school in the past year. The family is living on a farm that Levi owns free of mortgage.s466

He and his 43-year-old Texas-born wife Maude have in their household their Texas-born children, 21-year-old farmer R A [Russell], 19-year-old farmer E R [Real on the preceding census], 17-year-old Loreine [Lorraine], 13-year-old Thelma, and 8-year-old Gordon. The childrens last name is recorded as McCasland, but their parents is recorded as McCaslin on the preceding page. Everyone except Gordon can read and write. Thelma and Gordon have attended school in the past year.s503

She got the pension, number 501027. She probably died before August 1922 as that is the date that Murray's father Levi McCasland, who was living in Texas, applied for a pension on the basis of his son Murray's service, application number 1722961.
