On 12 Apr 1922, Frank J Burkhart and Daisy E [Fry] McCaslin apply for a marriage license in at the Scott County, Indiana, Courthouse. This is a second marriage for both. Frank's wife died 20 Feb 1907. Daisy's husband died 29 May 1921. Frank and Daisy are not second cousins, nor do they have venerial disease, nor insanity. Frank's parents are Conrad Burkhart and Sarah Gilland. Daisy's parents are Luther Fry and Rosa Baringer. The Clerk of the Court, J B Ray, issues the license and then performs the marriage ceremonly.

From findagrave.com, contributed by Martha Long and Colette Harrison: Obituary, 13 Jun 1928 Frank Burkhart, farmer north of Vinton until ten years ago, died Tues- day night at his home in Austin, Ind. The body will arrive in Vinton Thurs- day. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Prim- mer church. Burial in Kisling ceme- tery. Frank Burkhart was a brother of James Burkhart and E. T. Burkhart, of Vinton. Surviving are the widos, and five children by the first wife, namely: Lennon and Forrest Burk- hart of Rockford, Ill., Sammy and Earl Burkhart, living near vinton, and Mrs. Helen Fren McVay of Center Point.
