In the 1920 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson, Indiana, 37-year-old farmer Claud [Claude] and his 35-year-old wife Nellie B [Williams] Hendricks have in their household their children, 13-year-old Thomas A, 12-year-old Mary. 9-year-old Edna and 5-year-old William. All the children have attended school in the last year. The family is living on Rumple Pike.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for Needham, Johnson, Indiana, 47-year-old farmer Claud [Claude] and his 45-year-old wife Nellie B [Williams] Hendricks have been married 25 years. In their household and their children, 23-year-old farm laborer Thomas A, 22-year-old stenographer Mary. 19-year-old Edna, 15-year-old William and 9-year-old Helen. Thomas and Mary have not attended school in the past year, but Edna, William and Helen have. Everyone can read and write but the youngest, 9-year-old Helen. The family has a radio.

He was a resident of Franklin. He was born Dec. 24, 1914, in Frank- lin to Claude B. Hendricks and Nellie (Williams) Hendricks. He married Julie Izella Stewart on Feb. 29, 1976, in Fran- klin. She survives. Other survivers in- clude three sons, David Eugene Hen- dricks of Lake Lemon, Michael Frank- lin Hendricks of Indianapolis and Ken- eth Ray Hendricks of Tipton; a step- daughter, Norma Jean Choate of Indianapolis; four stepsons, Wilbert Lee Hacker of Anderson; Raymond Lester Hacker of New Castle; Wil- liam Duane Mullis of Whiteland and Ronald Keith Mullis of Franklin; two sisters, Edna M. Church of Franklin and Helen Louise Weddle of Frank- lin; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and a sister. He was a 1935 graduate of Franklin High School. He was a janitor for Gateway Serv- ices, retiring in 1977. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II, and was a life member of the Franklin V.F.W. and a mem- ber of First assembly of God Church in Franklin. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church with Pastors Phillip Curtis and Edgar allen Officiating. Calling will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Vandi- vier-Tudor Funeral Home in Frank- lin, and from 1 p.m. Mondday to time of service at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frank- lin.
