In the 1910 US Federal Census for Shelbyville, Shelby, Indiana, 22-year-old Indiana-born bornson and his 22-year-old Indiana-born wife Daisy E [Eine] Walker have been married three year and have had one living child who is not recorded in their household. They are living with Daisy's mother 65-year-old Ohio-born Eliza [maiden name unknown] Eine [transcribed as Hine] and her Indiana-born siblings, 34-year-old Nellie M [sic], 31-year-old Bert A and 25-year-old Edward D at 294 Harrison Avenue.

Daisy has either died or divorced bornson by 20 June 1914, the date he marries Bertha H Bickman.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Shelbyville, Shelby, Indiana, 31-year-old Indiana-born bornson and his 25-year-old Indiana-born wife Bertha [Bickman] Walker have in their household their daughter, 4-year 4-month old Indiana-born Doris.The family is living at 640 West South in a rented house. bornson is a "carliner superintendent". bornson's parents were born in Indiana. Bertha's father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in Indiana. Both bornson and Bertha are literate.
