In the 1900 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson, Indiana, 24-year-old Julius and 18-year-old Grace E Lineberry have been married less than a year. He is a farmer. Grace's father was born in North Carolina and her mother in Indiana

They are all iving at 658 South Street. The McCaslins were probably living in Iowa 11 months earlier as William W was recorded as being born in Iowa, not in Indiana.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, 44-year-old Indiana-born Julius and his 38-year-old Indiana-born wife Grace [Lineberry] McCaslin and their children, Esther (age 19, born in Indiana) and William (age 10, born in Ohio), are living at 806 Udell Street, which they rent. The 1927 City Directory for Terre Haute, Indiana records Rev. Julius McCaslinas the pastor of the Second Ave United Brethren Church. He and his wife Grace E McCaslin are living at 1111 N 23rd.

Quote from McCaslin/Lineberry Lineage written in 1954 by Esther McCaslin Harrer, Julius and Graces daughter: When Grandpa Lineberry came to serve the Pleasant Hill church as pastor, Dad [Julius Carleton McCaslin], with some competition from the other young men of the neighborhood, courted my mother, Grace, Grandpas attractice elder daughter. They say she was a beautiful girl with lovely fair skin, blond hair, and a dimple in her cheek. Mother said Dad cut rather a dashing figure, driving a high stepping horse to a sporty rubber tired buggy when he escourted her to the Musicals, a form of entertainment given by the youn people of the day. They were married June 14, 1899, and my mother, a child bride of 17, went to keep house on the McCaslin farm. Grandpa said that once when he was there, Mother was trying to dress a chicken, wrestling it all over the back steps. He teased her by declaring he didnt know who won out, she or the rooster.

Grace must have died before 1936 as Julius has married Mary [maiden name unknown] and is listed with her in the Terre Haute, Indiana City Directory.
