In the 1880 US Federal Census for 13th Township, Trego, Kansas, George, a 36-year-old farmer with chronic diarhea, has in his household his 30-year-old wife, Sarah, and their two daughters, 10-year-old Daisy and 5-year-old Kate. Both girls are attending school. McCaslin is misspelled as McCoslin.

Franklin is a plumber. Both Franklin and Kathleen can read, write and speak English. Franklin's parents were born in the United States, Kathleen's parents in Indiana, and the children's father in Minnesota, and their mother in Kansas.

Thomas and Eliza [Griggs] Connolly were married in Minnesota. Franklin has not served in the military. He is "engaged in professional services" and is a Christian Scientist. Cathleen [sic] is a native born US citizen who has lived in Iowa for four years. She, also, has graduated from high school and is able to read and write. Kathleen's father is 81-year-old Indiana-born George McCaslin and her mother was Indiana-born Sarah Cochran (no age recorded). George and Sarah [Cochran] McCaslin were married in Indiana. Kathleen is engaged in "domestic and personal services." She is a Christian Scientist.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, 46-year-old Minnesota-born Frank [sic] and 45-year-old Kansas-born wife Kathleen [McCaslin] Connolly have in their household their youngest son, 19-year-old Minnesota-born Stewart [Carlton Stewart]. The family is living in a duplex at 254 Wheeler. Frank is a plumer [sic] for a plumbing and heating company, and Stewart is a clerical worker for a plumbing and heating company, probably the same one that employs his father. Frank's father was born in Canada (Irish is in parenthesis) and his mother in Wisconsin. Kathleen's parents were born in Indiana. Stewart's father was born in Minnesota and his mother in Kansas. In the 1940 US Federal Census for St Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, 66-year-old Minnesota-born Franklin T and his 59-year-old [sic] Kansas-born wife Kathleen [McCaslin] Connolly are living in a rented house at 1677 Wellsley Ave Stanford [sic] for which they pay $42 a month. Franklin has completed eight years of school. Kathleen completed four years of high school. They were living in Little Falls, Minnesota in 1935. Franklin is the owner of a plumbing shop, has worked 40 hours in the past week, and 52 weeks in the past year. He does not have a wage nor salary, but has "other income". Kathleen is a housewife who is not looking for work.
