In the 1900 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson, Indiana, 27-year-old Ezra W McCaslin (transcribed Eria W Mccoslin) and his 25-year-old wife Lillian B (Cramer) McCaslin (transcribed Lilian B Mccoslin) have in their household their 3-year-old daughter Helen J McCaslin (transcribed Hellen J Mccoslin), and two servants, 17-year-old Everett Boss (probably a hired man for the farm) and 16-year-old Lidia Cramer (probably a cousin of Lillian's)

In the 1910 US Federal Census for Casco, Allegan, Michegan, 37-year-old Ezra McCasin [McCaslin] and his 35-year-old wife Lillian [Cramer] McCashin [McCaslin] have in their household their two survivng children, 13-year-old Helen and 5-year-old Richard, and a hired girl , 20-year-old Lula More.

Theodore M Tepsich and Helen J McCaslin were 25-and 19-years old, respectively and residents of Detroit, Michigan, when they were married on 4 Mar 1916 by Pastor Thomas J Villers. The witnesses were Mrs. James Palmer, Jr, and Miss Una Spink. The marriage records states that Theodore was a painter, that his father's name was Mark [sic] and his mother's name Anna. He was born in Austria. Helen's father's name was Ezra and her mother's Lillian [partially unreadable due to tight binding]. Helen was born in Indiana. Neither had been married previously. Their license number was 127950.

Helen is living on 5 Jun 1917, when Theodore Mark Tepisich registere for the WWI draft, when he stated that he is living at 392 Newport Ave, Detroit, Michigan with a wife and six month old child.
