Shared note | Meredith-Clark Funeral Home May 15, 2010 Bobby G. Kean, age 77 quietly passed away at his home on Friday morning, May 14, 2010. At his side was his loving and faithful wife of 57 years Marilyn L. (Parr) Kean whom he married on November 1, 1952 in Franklin. Bobby was a resident of Trafalgar and born on July 21, 1932 in Russell Springs, KY to the late Cyrus E. & Mary Martie (Helm) Kean. He served as a Corporal with the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. Bobby was the loving father to Debra Stillabower and her husband, Daniel, Gary Kean and Edward Kean all of Trafalgar. He was pa to Blake, Nicole and Chase; step-great grandchildren: Courtney, Brayden & Cody. Bobby will be remembered by his sister: Vina Lee Higginbotham of Franklin, KY and three brothers: Bill Kean of Elizabethtown, KY, Marion Kean of Franklin, & Bruce Kean of Naples, FL. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Earlean Flanagan, Ima Miller, Lydia Snow & Pearly Lawless; two brothers: Paul & Dallas Kean. Bobby retired in 1988 as a Foreman over the pipeline for Arvins in Franklin after 38 years of service. He also was the owner and operator of A&A Septic during the 1980's and 90's. Bobby was a member of the American Legion in Seymour. He enjoyed working on his family farm with his two sons, cutting hay and raising cattle. His true love was his grandchildren and the joy he received by spending time with them riding his golf cart and four wheeler. Bobby also enjoyed going out to eat, watching Larry King and listening to country music. The Rev. Michael Bell will conduct a funeral service 10:30 am Tuesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Bobby will be laid to rest at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown with Military Graveside Rites presented by the Martinsville American Legion & Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guards. |
