Ivanelle McCarty, 101, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at her daughter Sharons home in rural Princeton at 8 p.m. Dec. 17, 2013.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday in Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley. Additional visitation and funeral services will be at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville, Ind. Burial will be on Monday at Bluff Creek Cemetery, Bargersville, Ind.

Ivanelle was born Aug. 6, 1912, in Morgan County, Ind. to William Grover and Sylvia Mabel (Baker) Groseclose. She was first married to Henry Edwin Ennis. She later married Clarence C. McCarty in Monroe County, Ind.

Ivanelle attended Green Township schools and Martinsville High School. Along with her husband Clarence, Ivanelle was a minister, serving in Hoopeston, Peoria and Sheffield. She was a member of Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene in Peru. She also loved to travel.

Survivors include her three sons, George E. (Lola) Ennis of San-Tan Valley, Ariz., Stanley R. (Judi) McCarty of Sevierville, Tenn., and C. William McCarty of New Meadows, Idaho; two daughters, Anna M. Sinnet of Greencastle, Ind., and Sharon K. (Joe) Colmone of rural Princeton; three stepdaughters, Dorothy A. (Robert) Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Margaret E. Hawkins of Beech Grove, Ind., and Marjorie E. Harper of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Theodore Harold Groseclose of Martinsville; one sister, Sarah Evelyn Hazel of Florida; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; one son, Edwin Ennis; one daughter, Minnie Doty Reynolds; two sons in infancy, Paul Dallas McCarty and John David McCarty; and three sisters, Helen Brown, Ilene Leo and Catherine McCarty.
