Tubbs, Sr. Passed away October 26, 2012 Born October 21, 1931 - parents Lawrence and Amelia Tubbs (Sader) in Milford, NE.After high school Ron served in the United States Navy Reserve until 1956. Ron was an avid horseman. He showed horses for many years with his children (Shelly, Sue, Butch(Ron Jr.) and Chris(tie)) with his first wife, Norma. Ron loved horses. He shared this love with his family and others by leading a 4-H group. After Rons children got older and moved out of the house the family stopped showing horses. Ron moved on to a new passion, camping and fishing with family and friends. Ron worked in construction. For a short time he owned his own construction company and built several buildings around Lincoln, Ne. He taught construction through Southeast Community College. He also taught classes through SCC at the State Penitentiary. He later worked for Health of America as the maintenance director. After 21 years there and after building several friendships Ron retired. He lived in many small towns in Nebraska ultimately settling in Plainview NE. Never losing his love of horses Ron bought a horse, Sly, who was a great companion to him. Ron shared many things with his family. In particular his grandson Braden enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with him. He and his son Ron Jr. worked on many building projects over the years. He passed on his love of horses to his grand-daughter Abby through his daughter Christie. Visitation: Cremation. No visitation. Service: Rons wishes were for no traditional Memorial Service. He wanted his children to gather in a celebration of his life. This will be held at a later date and will be for family only. Memorials: Memorials to family for later designation.
