In the 1880 US Federal Census for Jackson, Newton, Indiana, 46-year-old Indiana-born Robert Parr and his 36-year-old [sic] Indiana-born second wife Rebecca E [Alexander] Parr have in their household Robert's 19-year-old Indiana-born son by his first wife Rachel Alexander Parr, George W Parr, and their Indiana-born children, 7-year-old Harry G, 5-year-old Riley A and one-year-old Roscoe S. Robert and George are "farming" and Rebecca is "keeping house". Robert's father was born in North Carolina and his mother in Ohio; Rebecca's parents were born in Tennessee; the children's parents were born in Indiana. James R, who should be on this census is missing.
