Shared note

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Beck, McIntosh, Oklahoma, 40-year-old Texas-born [sic] Charles W and his 26-year-old Arkansas-born wife Danie [sic] [Mary Adana Lane] Fulton have in their household their Oklahoma-born children, 7-year-old Lettie and 3-year 6-month old Floyd W, and Charles' widowed mother, 74-year-old Illinois-born Mahulda [Drew] Fulton. Lettie has attended school in the past year and can read. Charles, Danie and Mahulda can read, write and speak English. Although Charles is recorded as owning his farm, but with a mortgage, he is recorded as a farm laborer. This would suggest that his mother owns the land he is farming. Charles' and Mahulda's parents were born in Illinois; Danie's parents were born in Arkansas; the children's father was born in Texas and their mother in Arkansas.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for North Kansas City, Clay, Missouri, 48-year-old Missouri-born Chas [sic] Fulton and his 38-year-old Oklahoma-born wife Mary [Lane] Fulton were married for the first time when he was 36- and she was 19-years-old. Since their ages are 10 years apart, one or both of them may have been married previously. They have in their household, their children, 18-year-old Lillian, 14-year-old Lloyd, 9-year-old Mildred, and 6-year-old Margerita. All the children were born in Oklahoma except Margerita who was born in Missouri, which means that the family moved to Missouri between 1921 and 1924. All the children have attended school in the past year. The family is living in a house that Charles owns, worth $5,800. Everyone is literate and speaks English. Charles is a blacksmith for the railroad, Mary is a waitress in a cafe and Lloyd is a helper on a milk route. All have worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. Charles' parents were born in Illinois; Mary's parents were born in Arkansas; the children's father was born in Missouri and their mother in Oklahoma.

Orland F Poage and Lillian J Falton [sic] were married 15 Dec 1934 in Plattsburg, Clinton, Missouri.

Lillian Poage, born Mar 1912, died Aug 1976. Her last residence of record was Kansas City, Clay, Missouri 64116. She had applied for her Social Security number in Missouri before 1951.
