Clarrissa has borne seven children and all are living with them. These Arkansas-born children are 17-year-old farm laborer James, 15-year-old Ethel, 13-year-old Martha, 12-year-old Lizzie R, 10-year-old Charles, 6-year-old Ella and 5-year-old Cara. James and Ethel have attended school three months of the past year, while Martha, Lizzie, Charles, and Ella have attended four months of the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English except the two youngest children, Ella and Cara. William is farming rented land. Ella and Carrie have attended school in the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English. William is farming land he owns, free of mortgage. William's father was born in Tennessee, his mother's birthplace is left blank; Clarrissa' father was born in Tennessee [sic] and her mother in Georgia. The children's father was born in Arkansas and their mother in Alabama. In the 1920 US Federal Census for Oliver Springs, Crawford, Arkansas, 62-year-old Arkansas-born farmer W A [William A] and his 64-year-old Alabama-born wife Claricy [sic Clarrissa Taylor] Temple have in their household their 24-year-old Arkansas-born unmarried daughter Carrie, and their 14-year-old Arkansas-born granddaughter Flora Bell. Flora has attended school in the past year. William is a farmer. Carrie is a laborer in a garment factory. Everyone is literate and speaks English.
