On 31 Dec 1889, 22-year-old Mr Francis M Temple and 19-year Miss Katie Center, both of Crawford County, Arkansas applied for a Marriage License at the County Clerk's Office, Crawford County, Arkansas. They were married by Samuel Lucas on 1 Jan 1890.

In the 1900 US Federal Census for Sallisaw, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, 32-year-old Arkansas-born Francis and his 29-year-old Arkansas-born wife Ada [sic] have been married 10 years. Ada has borne three children, two are living. These Indian Territory-born children are 8-year-old Harrison and 1-year-old Marry [sic]. Francis is a day laborer who owns his house, free of mortgage. Francis and Ada can read, write and speak English. Francis' parents were born in Missouri [sic]; Ada's father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas; the children's parents were born in Arkansas.

In the 1910 US Federal census for Lenapah, Nowata, Oklahoma, 41-year-old Arkansas-born Francis M and his 39-year-old Arkansas-born wife Catherine [sic] [Center] Temple have been married 20-years. They have in their household their daughter 11-year-old Oklahoma-born Mary C who has attended school in the past year. Francis is a laborer for the Santa Fe Railroad and was not employed six months of the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English. No information is entered for the birthplace of Francis' parents; Catherine's father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas; Mary's parents were born in Arkansas. Francis and Katy's son, Harrison [sic William Harrison] Temple is living with Katy's brother John Center and his family and working as a hired man.

In the 1920 US Federal Census for Fort Gibson, Nash, Muskogee, Oklahoma, 52-year-old Arkansas-born Francis M and his 49-year-old Arkansas-born wife Luvernia V [sic] [Center] Temple are living in a rented house on Wheeler Street. Both can read, write and speak English. Francis is a foreman for a "railroad section". Francis' father was born in Tennessee and his mother in Arkansas; Katie's father was born in Kentucky and her mother in Arkansas.

From Virgnia Temple: She was commonly known as Katie. Her obituary appeared in the Nowata paper, July, 1944 [sic Aug 1947], and reads as follows:" Delaware Woman's Sister Dies: Rites To be held Monday. Mrs. Katie Temple, 76, passed away Friday in the home of her sister, Mrs. Jim Corbin, of Delaware. Mrs. Temple had been in poor health for a number of years. Her home has been in Van Buren, Arkansas, for the past 15 years, but she had been at her sister's home at Delaware for three weeks. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors in addition to the sister at Delaware are the husband, F.M. Temple, of Van Buren, who is at the Corbin home at Delaware; one brother, J. W. Center, Ada, and five grandchildren, Mrs. Harry W. Kester and Harrison Temple, Jr., Nowata, Hubert Temple, Independence, Kansas, Edith Duvall and Evelyn Blokoloski, Enid."
