These Washington-born children are 11-year-old Herbert H, 9-year-old Beryl [sic Burl], 7-year-old Morton and 6-year-old Gladys. All of the children have attended school eight months of the last year. Millard, Alice, and Gladys can read, write and speak English. Millard is a section man for the railroad. Millard owns the land he is farming, free of mortgage. Burl is a garage mechanic. Orval is a plumber's apprentice. Everyone can read, write and speak English. Millard's parents were born in Indiana [sic]; Alice's father was born in Virginia and her mother in Arkansas; the children's father was born in Indiana and their mother in Arkansas. Living next door is Millard and Alice's son, Morton H Baker and his family.
