In the 1905 Minnesota State Census for Hobart, Ottertail, Minnesota, 44-year-old Minnesota-born farmer Henry C and his 37-year-old Minnesota-born wife Sarah L [Pengra] Antonsen have in their household their Minnesota-born children, 16-year-old farm laborer William H, 14-year-old John H, 13-year-old Charles H, 10-year-old Frank H, 7-year-old Sarah H, 5-year-old Mary H, and 2-year-old Margaret H. Henry has lived in Hobart for 21-1/2 years, but Sarah L has lived there for 23-1/2 years. Henry's father was born in Denmark and his mother in N.Y. State [sic]. Sarah L's father was born in Indiana and her mother in Merland [sic]. The children's parents were born in Minnesota.

All the children except the oldest, William, and youngest, Elnora, have attended school in the past year. Everyone, except Margaret and Elnora, is literate. Everyone, except Elnora, speaks English. Henry's father was born in Denmark and his mother in New York. Sarah's father was born in Indiana and her mother in Maryland. The children's parents were born in Minnesota.

In the 1930 US Federal Census for Lanesburgh, Le Sueur, Minnesota, 26-year-old, Minnesota-born Gerald W Smith and his 27-year-old, Minnesota-born wife, Margaret [Antonsen] Smith were married when he was 23- and she was 24-years old. They have in their household their 2-1/2-year-old, Wisconsin-born daughter, Lorraine I. They have a radio. Gerald is a farm laborer and has worked on the las regularly scheduled work day.
