In the 1900 US Federal Census for Hobart, Otter Tail, Minnesota, 39-year-old, Minnesota-born Henry Antonsen and his 30-year-old, Minnesota-born wife, L Sarah [sic] [Pengra] Antonsen have been married 12 years. Sarah has borne six children and all are living. These six Minnesota-born children are 11-year-old William, 9-year-old John, 8-year-old Charles, 5-year-old Frank, 2-year-old Henrietta [sic], and 2-month old Mary. Henry is a farmer who owns his farm free of mortgage. William, John and Charles have attended school seven months of the past year. Everyone, except the three youngest children, Frank, Henrietta and Mary, is literate. Everyone, except Henrietta and Mary, speaks English. Henry's father was born in Denmark and his mother in New York. Sarah's father was born in Indiana and her mother in Maryland. The children's parents were born in Minnesota.
