Gudgel went to Sheffield Friday to assist in the burial of Milton Gudgel, his uncle, who died Thursday at the age of 84 years and 24 days. He lived at one time on the Reed and Ramson Farm west of providence, where unfortunately the house burned one night and two children were burned to death. Many of the older citizens will remember him. He was born at Dayton, O., and was a brother to Stephen, John and William Gudgel. For a few years he and his son Louis, lived in Sheffield until he recently had a stroke of paralysis. The he was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Sprague. After short services at the residence the funer was hele in the little church at the Mineral cemetery. He now lies at rest beside his wife who died several years ago. He leaves three daughters and four sons. Rev. Burd of Mineral officiated. |
