Ella and Carrie have attended school in the past year. Everyone can read, write and speak English. William is farming land he owns, free of mortgage. William's father was born in Tennessee, his mother's birthplace is left blank; Clarrissa' father was born in Tennessee [sic] and her mother in Georgia. The children's father was born in Arkansas and their mother in Alabama. In the 1920 US Federal Census for Oliver Springs, Crawford, Arkansas, 62-year-old Arkansas-born farmer W A [William A] and his 64-year-old Alabama-born wife Claricy [sic Clarrissa Taylor] Temple have in their household their 24-year-old Arkansas-born unmarried daughter Carrie, and their 14-year-old Arkansas-born granddaughter Flora Bell. Flora has attended school in the past year. William is a farmer. Carrie is a laborer in a garment factory. Everyone is literate and speaks English. William's parents were born in Tennessee; Clarrissa' father was born in Tennessee [sic] and her mother in Georgia.; Carrie's father was born in Arkansas and her mother in Alabama; Flora's parents were born in Arkansas. Living next door is William and Clarissa's son, 29-year-old Arkansas-born farmer Charles and his family which consists of his 26-year-old Arkansas-born wife Fleida and their Arkansas-born children, 7-year-old Guy, 3-year 4-month-old Heloise [sic] and 4-month-old Lavelle.
