Laura and Harold have attended school in the past year. Everyone except the two youngest children, Fallis and Woodrow, can read write and speak English. Everyone's parents were born in Missouri. In the 1930 US Federal Census for River Bend, Elbert, Colorado, 51-year-old Missouri-born Jake C [Jacob Clay] and his 49-year-old Missouri-born wife Hallie M [Weddle] Calvert were married when he was 19- and she was 17-years old [abt 1898]. They have in their household their youngest Missouri-born sons, 20-year-old Harold C, 14-year-old Amerson F [sic Fallice Emerson], and 11-year-old Woodrow. The family is living in a rented house. They do not have a radio. Fallice and Woodrow have attended school in the past year. Jacob is doing "general farming" and his two oldest sons, Harold and Fallice are farm laborers. They all worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. Jacob has not served in the military. Everyone can read write and speak English. Jacob's father was born in Kentucky and his mother in Virginia [sic]. Hallie's parents were born in the United States. The children's parents were born in Missouri. Fallice [sic] applied for his Social Security Number in Colorado before 1951. Fallice [sic] E Calvert was living in Limon, Lincoln, Colorado 80828 when he died on 18 Jun 2006.
