Both girls have attended school in the past year. The family is living in a rented house. Fred and Chattie are literate and speak English. In the 1930 US Federal Census for Clay, Cass, Indiana, 42-year-old Indiana-born farmer Frederick D and his 40-year-old Indiana-born wife Chattie F [Campbell] Carson were married when he was 23- and she was 21-years old. They have in their household their Indiana-born children, 18-year-old Helen L, 16-year-old S June, and 5-year 7-month-old R Carl. Helen and S June have attended school in the past year. Everyone except baby R Carl can read, write and speak English. Frederick is doing general farming on rented land. Everyone's parents were born in Indiana. KAUSZLER Helen C. Kauszler, 81, of 411 E. Wheeler St., Three Rivers, died Friday, July 10, 1992 at River View Manor. She was born June 6, 1911 in Logansport, Ind., the daughter of Frederick and Chattie (Campbell) Carson. In 1929, she graduated from the Indiana School of Nursing. On March 20, 1946 she and Kenneth R. Kauszler were married at the Three Rivers First Presbyterian Church. She was employed as the St. Joseph Health Department nurse until 1948. She was a member of the Children of the American Revolution, a branch of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Order of the Eastern Star, Fidelity Chapter No. 58 of Logansport, Ind.; Sigma Theta Tau; First Presbyterian Church of Three Rivers, Federation of Woman's Club; served as a deaconess at First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Orrel Fulcher Circle. She is survived by one daughter, June Cooper of Three Rivers, one grandson, Adam Cooper, one sister, Mrs. June Lewis, all of Three Rivers; two nephews, James Kauszler and Keith Lewis, one niece, Susan Kaiser, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Carson and Carl Carson, one daughter, Anna Marie Kauszler, and her husband, Kenneth, in 1976. A memorial service for Mrs. Kauszler will be held Monday, June 13, 1992 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends in the Geneva Room of the First Presbyterian Church from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Interment of the cremains will take place in Riverside cemetery following the memorial service. Memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by the Hohner Funeral Home.
