Washington County, Kentucky County Court Film # 0241421 Item 1 Page 378-379 December the 3rd 1799 At the motion of Mary [McCaslin] Snodgrass and Hugh Snodgrass who made oath and together with Robert McCaslin [Mary's brother] and Robert Snodgrass their securities Executed and acknowledged bond in the penalty of one hundred pounds conditioned as the court directs, a certificate is granted them for obtaining letter of administration on the estate of Samuel Snodgrass Deceased. After the death of her husband, Samuel Snodgrass, Mary married Abraham Thixton in 1802. In the 1810 US Federal Census for Washington County, Kentucky, Abraham Thixton has in his household one male from 26 to 44 (himself), four females under 10 (Susannah, Rebecca, Ann and an unknown0, 2 females from 10 to 15 (his stepdaughters, Charlotte and Margaret Snodgrass) and one female from 26 to 44 (his wife Polly McCaslin Snodgrass Thixton). In the 1830 US Federal Census for Lancaster, Jefferson, Indiana, Abraham Thixton has in his household one male from 10 to 15, one male from 15 to 20, one male from 50 to 60 (himself), one female from 10 to 15, three females from 20 to 30, and one female from 50 to 60 (his wife, Polly). In the 1840 US Federal Census for Republican, Jefferson, Indiana, William Thickston has in his household two males under five, one male between thirty and forty (himself), one female under five, one female between fifteen and twenty, one female between twenty and thirty (his wife ?) and one female between sixty and seventy (his mother Mary McCaslin Snodgrass Thickston).
