The witnesses were Mrs. James Palmer, Jr, and Miss Una Spink. The marriage records states that Theodore was a painter, that his father's name was Mark [sic] and his mother's name Anna. He was born in Austria. Helen's father's name was Ezra and her mother's Lillian [partially unreadable due to tight binding]. Helen was born in Indiana. Neither had been married previously. Their license number was 127950. On 5 Jun 1917, Theodore Mark Tepisich registered for the WWI draft. He stated that he was 27 years old and living at 392 Newport Ave, Detroit, Michigan, that he was born 25 March 1890 in Kostajnica, Austria, and that he was a naturalized citizen. His current employment was as an automobile painter for J. D. Wilson Co. at 15 Warren Ave. He was married with a wife and six month old child and has had no military experience. His physical appearance was tall, medium build with brown eyes and black hair. In the 1920 US Federal Census for Highland Park, Wayne, Michigan, Theodore Teprich [Tepsich] (age 30 and a widower - his wife Helen having died in 1919) and his daughter, Elizabeth N [Elizabeth A Tepsich] (age 3-1/2) are living with his parents-in-law Ezra and Lillian (Cramer) McCaslin and his brother-in-law Richard at 3114 John Street in a rented house. In the 1930 US Federal Census for Detroit, Wayne, Michigan, 39-year-old minister Theodore M Tepsich and his family are living in a $25,000 house that he owns at 20137 Petoskey. He has remarried and his 37-year-old wife, Merle is a Canadian citizen. In addition to the daughter by his first wife, 13-year-old Elizabeth A, Merle and he have two children, 5-year-old Lois M and 3-year and 11 months old Theodore M Jr. Merle J When Theodore Tepsich died in Jan 1965, he was living in Orange County, Florida.
