Frank Kinneman and Della Blackletter [sic] were married Wednesday eveing [sic] at the home of the bride near Twelve Mile. Rev. M. Patten, Ko- komo, officiated, after which a 5 course dinner was served. Flower girls were Lucielle [sic] Cover and Goldie Robisson. [sic] Kinneman is a young farmer of Adams township and they go to housekeeping on their return from a wedding trip to Dayton, Ohio. In the 1910 US Federal Census for Adams, Cass, Indiana, 26-year-old Indiana-born Frank Kinnaman and his 28-year-old wife Della [Blackketter] Kinnaman have been married four years. Della has borne no children. They are living in a rented house. Frank is a farm laborer "working out" and has had no months out of work in the past year. Both are literate and speak English. Everyone's parents were born in Indiana. On 12 Sep 1918, when 35-year-old J Frank Kinnaman registers for the WWI Draft, he states that his current residence in Twelve Mile, Cass, Indiana, that he was born 27 Apr 1833 and is a white native born US Citizen. Frank is a farmer doing "general farming". Frank and Della are literate and speak English. Everyone's parents were born in Indiana. Living in the other half of the duplex is Della's brother, Wynn A and his wife Mildred M [maiden name unknown] Blackketter In the 1930 US Federal Census for South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, 47-year-old Frank Kinnaman and his 48-year-old Indiana-born wife Della [Blackketter] Kinnaman were married when he was 24- and she was 23-years-old [sic]. They have in their household their Indiana-born children, 18-year -old Isabelle and 5-year-old Lyle, and a lodger 27-year-old Indiana-born Paul Morrow. This household is living in a rented house at 741 Cushing, for which Frank pays $40 a month in rent. The family has a radio. Lyle has attended school in the past year. He was born 27 Apr 1883 in Cass County, Indiana. The name and address of the person who will always know his address is Mrs Geo Brownfield [his daughter] of 818 Harrison, South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana. [sic] The former Della Blackketter and Frank Kinnaman were mar- ried November 7, 1906 in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. F. Blackketter, west of Twelve Mile. The newly married couple lived on a farm near Twelve Mile until 1919 when they moved to Logans- port and operated a grocery store on Miami Aavenue until 1922. They then moved to South Bend where they still reside. Mr. Kinnaman has retired from steady employment and now spends his time repairing old organs as a hobby. The celebrants are the parents of two children, Mrs. Isabelle Brownfield, South Bend, and Lyle Kinnaman, Sounth [sic] Bend. Obituary, Logansport Press, Wednesday, February 2, 1966 FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT J. FRANK KINNAMAN DIES AT MISHAWAKA J. Frank Kinnaman, 82, of Mishawaka, a former resident of Logansport, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mishawaka after an extended illness. Born April 27, 1883 at Twelve Mile, he lived in the South Bend- Mishawada area since 1922, hav- ing moved there from Logans- port. His marriage was on Nov. 7, 1906 at Twelve Mile to Della Blakketter, who died in 1957. Survivors include a son, Lyle J., and a daughter, Mrs. George Brownfield, both of South Bend. Final services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Welsheimer Funeral Home in South Bend. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, where graveside serv- ices will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
