In the 1880 US Federal Census for Liberty, Fulton, Indiana, 32-year-old Indiana-born Alonzo Cover and his 30-year-old Indiana-born wife Martha [Leffel] Cover have in their household their three Indiana-born children, 5-year-old Alberta, 3-year-old Hollis and 2-year-old Nonie. At the home of the bride's pa- rnets near Twelve Mile, Mr. Hollis C. Cover and Miss Bessie Blackketter were united in marriage March 23, 1898 by Rev. R. H. Smith. The wedding was a quiet one, being wit- nessed only by a few of the imme- diate relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Mr. and Mrs. Cover will go to Janesville, Wis., and their many friends regret their departure. The couple received a number of pretty and useful pres- ents. In the 1900 US Federal Census for Logansport, Eel Township, Cass, Indiana, 23-year-old Indiana-born Hollis C Cover and his 20-year-old Indiana-born wife Bessie [Blackketter] Cover have been married three years. Bessie has born one child, 2-year-old Indiana-born Lucile H. The family is living in a rented house at 1520 Spear Street. Hollis is a clerk in the Post Office. Hollis and Bessie are literate and speak English. Everyone's parents were born in Indiana. In the 1930 US Federal Census for South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, 53-year-old Indiana-born Hollis C Cover and his 50-year-old Indiana-born wife Bessie [Blackketter] Cover were married when he was 21- and she was 18-years-old. They are living in a house that Hollis owns, worth $7,500, at 768 Portage Ave. They have a radio. Hollis is a parochial school teacher and has worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. He has not served in the military. Hollis and Bessie are literate and speak English. Their parents were born in Indiana.
