In the 1920 US Federal Census for Hanson, Sequoyah, Oklahoma, 39-year-old farmer Quiant [sic Quint] Nunn and his 38-year-old Arkansas-born wife Tennie [McCaslin Lewis] have in their household Tennie’s Oklahoma-born sons, 18-year-old farm laborer Clarence Lewis and 12-year-old farm laborer Elmer Lewis. Quint is illiterate. Tennie, Clarence and Elmer can read and write. Everyone speaks English Quint is doing “general farming” on rented land. Quint’s parents were born in Texas; Tennie’s father was born in Missouri and her mother in Arkansas; Clarence and Elmer’s father was born in Arkansas and their mother in Kansas [sic]. Obituary Sequoya County Times, Thursday, July 22, 1999 Funeral services for Elmer Everett LEWIS, 91, of Muldrow will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church near Muldrow.  Burial is in Cottonwood Cemetery, southeast of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.  Mr. LEWIS  was born Oct. 12, 1907, in the Hanson community,  Oklahoma Indian Territory, to Frank LEWIS and Tennie (MCCASLIN) LEWIS.  He died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, in Sallisaw.  He married Beulah Mae BANKSTON March 20, 1946, in Van Buren, Ark. She preceded him in death Feb. 10, 1969.  Survivors include three nieces, Thelma Pearl, Irene and Nadine; and one sister-in-law, Mattie.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, Clarence LEWIS on May 3, 1980 and one nephew, William Lloyd LEWIS in December 1997.
