In the 1910 US Federal Census for Table Rock, Pawnee, Nebraska, 28-year-old Pennsylvania-born farmer Harry Roy [sic] and his 25-year-old Nebraska-born wife Grayce [sic] McCaslin Ray have been married one year. This is a first marriage for both of them. Grayce has borne one living child, 4-year-old Nebraska-born Margaret who is recorded as a daughter by marriage. The family is living in a rented house. Harry is "working out", i.e. working for hire for other farmers. He has had no months out of work in the past year. Harry and Grace can read, write and speak English. Harry's parents were born in Pennsylvania; Grayce's father was born in Nebraska and her mother in Pennsylvania; Margaret's parents were born in Nebraska. In the 1920 US Federal Census for College View, Lancaster, Nebraska, 37-year-old Pennsylvania-born Harry H and his 34-year-old Nebraska-born wife Grayce [sic] {McCaslin] Ray have in their household their Nebraska-born children, 14-year-old Margaret A and 8-year-old William H, both of whom have attended school in the past year. The family is living in a rented house at 7th and A. Everyone can read, write and speak English. Harry is a fireman for the State Farm. Henry's father was born in New York [sic] and his mother in Indiana [sic]; Grayce's father was born in Nebraska and her mother in Pennsylvania; the children's father was born in Pennsylvania [sic] and their mother in Nebraska.
