In the 1900 US Federal Census for White Rock, Franklin, Arkansas, 33-year-old Kentucky-born day laborer George and his 36-year-old Tennessee born wife Sarah [Landrum] Daugherty have been married sixteen years and have had five children, all five are living with them. These five Arkansas-born children are 11-year-old day laborer Edward, day laborer 10-year-old Audria [?], 8-year-old Christopher O, 5-year-old Maggie R and one-year od Gracie. Everyone except Maggie and Gracie can read and write. Everyone except Gracie can speak English. George and Audria have not worked three months of the year. Edward has not worked two months of the year. The family is living in a rented house.
