In the 1910 US Federal Census for Waring, Ness, Kansas, 48-year-old Illinois-born farmer Orson L and his 38-year-old Indiana-born wife Cordie L [Cordelia Snodgrass] Sidebottom have been married twenty-one years and have had seven children, six are living. These Kansas-born children are 19-year-old farm laborer Milo, 14-year-old Lida C, 12-year-old Felix O, 7-year-old Lorin K, 5-year-old Ira B, and 1-year-old Inez C. All the children except Ezra and Inez have attended school in the past year. Orson is a grain and stock farmer, who owns the acreage he is farming, free of mortgage. Orson's parents were born in Kentucky, Cordie's parents in Indiana, and the children's father was born in Illinois and their mother in Indiana. In the 1915 Kansas State Census for Waring, Ness, Kansas, 52-year-old Illinois-born farmer O L [sic Orson] and his 42-year-old wife Indiana-born Cordy [sic] [Snodgrass] Sidebottom have in their household their Kansas-born children 18-year-old school teacher LIda, 16-year-old Felix, 12-year-old Lorin, 7-year-old Ira, 6-year-old Inez and 3-year-old Ralph. Felix, Lorin, Ira, Inez, and Ralph [sic] have attended school in the past year. Oscar is farming land he owns, free of mortgage. Orson came to Kansas from Iowa and Cordie from Indiana. Living one farm away are Cordie's parents, 74-year-old Indiana-born H C [Hugh] and 68-year-old Indiana-born L A [Lida Ann Gray] Snodgrass. Hugh owns the land he is farming, free of mortgage. Both Hugh and Lida came to Kansas from Indiana. In the 1920 US Federal Census for Ottawa Ward 2, Franklin, Kansas, 57-year-old Illinois-born retired farmer Orson L and his 49-year-old Indiana-born wife Cordie [Snodgrass] Sidebottom have in their household some of their Kansas-born children, 17-year-old Lorin, 14-year-old Ira, 11-year-old Corda [sic she was recorded as Inez in the 1910 and 1915 census] and 8-year-old Ralph.The family is living in a house that Orson owns, free of mortgage, at 516 South Poplar. In the 1930 US Federal Census for Waring, Ness, Kansas, 67-year-old Iowa-born [sic] Orris [sic Orson] L and his 57-year-old Indiana-born wife Cordie L [Snodgrass] Sidebottom were married when he was 26- and she was 15-years old. They have in their household their youngest son, Kansas-born 18-year-old Ralph G. Orson and Ralph are doing general farming on a farm that Orson owns. Both worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. Neither have served in the military. Orson's and Cordie's parents were born in the United States. Ralph's father was born in Iowa [sic] and his mother in Indiana. Living next door is Orson and Cordie's Kansas-born 24-year-old son Ira B and his wife 20-year-old Kansas-born Lavon [Stull] Sidebottom who were 24- and 22-years old, respectively, when they married. Ira is doing wheat farming on rented land. Ira has worked on the last regularly scheduled work day and has not served in the military. Ira's and Lavonne's fathers were born in Iowa [sic] and their mothers in Indiana. And living next door to Ira and his family is his sister, 21-year-old Kansas-born Cordie I [Sidebottom] Guyer, her 22-year-old Nebraska-born husband Elmer E Guyer and their 3-month old Kansas-born son William E. Elmer and Cordie were married when he was 21- and she was 20-years old. Elmer is working for the Santa Fe Railroad in the signal service and has workd on the last regularly scheduled work day. Elmer's parents were born in Illinois, Cordie's father was born in Iowa [sic] and her mother in Indiana, William E's father was born in Nebraska and his mother in Kansas. Mrs. Guyer was born Cordie Sidebottom on June 18, at Brownell., She was a homemaker and also a cook for Boulder Valley School District. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; two sons, William and Donald; and two grandchildren. She was born June 18, in Brownell. She was a retired homemaker, a cook for the Boulder Valley school district and a seamstress. Survivors include a son, Raymond Guyer, Pallisade, Colo.; a daughter, Barbara Hoper, Selden; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eugene Guyer; and two sons, William and Donald Guyer. Burial will be at a later date at Gem Cemetery, Gem, Pauls Funeral Home, Selden, is a in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested in her name.
