Benjamin, Rachel and Andrew's parents were born in Kentucky [sic], and Jessee and Bessie father in Missouri and their mother in Indiana [sic]. In the 1900 US Federal Census for St Joseph, Buchanan, Missouri, 27-year-old Michigan-born stenographer Charles and his 23-year-old Nebraska-born wife Elizabeth [Hill] Roesle have been married for two years and have had no children. Charles and Elizabeth are living in a house at 419 Albermarle Street. They can read, write and speak English. Charles has had no days out of work in the past year.
