Shared note
In the 1930 US Federal Census for the 4th Magisterial District, Owen, Kentucky, 65-year-old Kentucky-born blacksmith Chas [sic] J and 60-year-old Kentucky-botn Denia [Kistner Meadows] McAnally were married for the first time when he was 22-years old and she was 17-years old. This is a second marriage for both. Charles owns the house where they live, worth $400. He also is an employer who worked on the last regularly scheduled work day. Both can read, write and speak English. Charles's father was born in Indiana and his mother in Virginia [sic]. Denia's parents were born in Germany. Widowed Denia Margaret Kistner Meadows McAnally died at 11 a.m. on 16 Dec 1949 at her Shome in rural Carroll County, Kentucky. She was 80-years old having been born on 19 Mar 1869 in Henry County, Kentucky. Her father was Joseph Kistner, and her mother's name was unknown to the informant, her son Marvin Meadows. The cause of death was a cerebral hemorage of two weeks duration. She was buried on 18 Dec 1949 in the IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton, Carroll, Kentucky (funeral director, C.S. Tandy).
