In the 1880 US Federal Census for Gratz, Owen, Kentucky, 35-year-old [sic] Indiana-born farmer Wm [sic William] and his 33-year-old [sic] Kentucky-born [sic] wife Sarah [Long] McCastleman [sic McCasland] have in their household their Kentucky-born [sic] children, 18-year-old Annie [Anna], 14-year-old farm laborer Joseph, 12-year-old Jennie, 6-year-old Allie, and 3-year-old Dave [David]. William, Sarah and Anna are literate; Joseph and Jennie have attended school in the past year. William's parents were born in Indiana, Sarah's parents in Kentucky, and the children's father was born in Indiana and their mother in Kentucky [sic]. Obituary from findagrave.com Henry County Local---August 13, 1943 Mrs. Allie Popp, wife of James Popp, died at her home in Campbellsburg, Saturday, July 31, 1943, at 9 a.m. She had been a member of the Campbellsburg Baptist Church for fifty years. She had been in failing health for several years, but was able to be up until Thursday, when she fell and broke her hip. She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Mrs. John Pryor and Mrs. Charles Trippett, both of Campbellsburg; eleven sons: Avery Popp, Burlington, Everett Popp, English, Beckham Popp, Covington, Charles Popp, Owenton, Ray Popp, Shelbyville, Edward Popp, Newton, OH, Willie Popp, Melville, LA, Cpl. Vernon Popp, Fort Dix, N. J., Sgt. Bryan Popp, Fort Knox, Suter Popp and Herbert Popp, both of Campbellsburg. Funeral services were conducted at the Campbellsburg Baptist Church with Rev.
