In the 1880 US Federal Census for Graham, Jefferson, Indiana, 42-year-old Ohio-born [sic] farmer Caleb and his 36-year-old Indiana-born wife Harriet [Roseberry] Dibler have in their household their Indiana-born children, 17-year-old Adde [Susan Adelaide], 11-year-old Charles, and 4-year-old Edward [sic Frederic]. Adde and Charles have attended school in the past year. Caleb's parents were born in Germany, Harriet's father was born in Indiana and her mother in Ohio. The children's father was born in Ohio and their mother in Indiana. In the 1900 US Federal Census for Graham, Jefferson, Indiana, 61-year-old Indiana-born farmer Caleb and his 56-year-old Indiana-born wife Harriet [Roseberry] Dibler have been married 37 years and have had three children, All three are living. Caleb and Harriet have in their household two of their Indiana-born children, 31-year-old school teacher Charles S, and 24-year-old school teacher Frederic S, and Harriet's niece 44-year-old Indiana-born Margaret E McCaslin. Caleb owns his farm, free of mortgage. Caleb, Harriet, Charles and Frederic can read, write and speak English. Margaret is illiterate, but can speak English. Caleb's parents were born in Germany.
